Landscaping: Part 2

I give you that story because I was so inspired by what we did at his house, that I took that energy and started a trail through my parents 7+ acres of "back yard". Most of which is covered with tiny tree saplings, fallen leaves and old tree trunks. I've convinced my nephews I am creating this trail so that we can run around and not get lost out in the woods. Here are quite a few before/during photos as I am on day 4 of this project. Some of the areas have no path whatsoever, so I am chopping down trees and clearing brush as I go, as some of the photos will show. There are too many to post today, but I will post more as I go.

Picture this: I have headphones on, coffee in my travel mug and a hatchet and rake. It's 9am, and my mother can hear me at the house (about 200feet away) singing Def Leppard's 'Photograph' at the top of my lungs. She said it was quite a serenade. I had no idea I was singing, ahem, yelling, so loud, but hey, out here no one really cares if a crazy lady from Seattle walks into your woods with a hatchet and sings Def Leppard at the top of her lungs.

I will update the photos as I update the trail. When you all come to visit we will have something to do. :)
